Character-Based Physical Education in the Hadith Perspective: Building a Strong, Disciplined, and Integrity-Driven Generation

Physical education has a strategic role not only in improving the physical fitness of students, but also in forming strong character, discipline, and integrity. This article aims to explore character-based physical education from an Islamic perspective, through a thematic approach to hadith (maudhu'i), which emphasizes the importance of majesty, discipline, and honesty for the better generation / morally strong generation. This research uses qualitative methods and bibliographic approaches, namely the Prophet Muhammad (saw) collects hadith related to physical activity, discipline, sportsmanship, honesty and responsibility and analyzes them in a descriptive-analytical manner. The results of the study show that Islam places great emphasis on physical development to perfect faith and morality. The Prophet's hadith states that physical strength must be accompanied by discipline, confidence, and moral honesty in all activities, including sports and physical education. Physical education combined with the values of the Hadith can be an effective tool for building positive character, shaping the atmosphere of sport and increasing the focus on personal and social responsibility. Therefore, it is important that character-based physical education in the study of thematic hadith is applied in order to create a physically healthy, spiritually strong, disciplined and complete offspring, which are in line with Islamic values.
