Author Guidelines
Education and Commonity Servise Journal (EduServe)
Publishes articles on community service activities carried out by lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and students in the fields of community empowerment, assistance, development, and implementation of knowledge, particularly in Qur’anic Studies, Hadith Studies, and broader Islamic Studies. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that meet the following guidelines:
1. General Requirements

Manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration elsewhere.

Articles should be written in Indonesian or English, using clear, concise, and academic language.

The manuscript length is 2,500–5,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.

Manuscripts must be submitted via the Online Submission System (OJS) at: [link OJS].
2. Manuscript Format
-
The manuscript should be typed in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 spacing, and margins of 3 cm (top, left) and 2.5 cm (bottom, right).

The structure of the manuscript should include:

Title (5–14 words, clear and informative, written in bold, with subtitle if necessary).

Author(s) Information (full name, affiliation, email, and ORCID ID if available).

Abstract (150–250 words, written in English and Indonesian, containing background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion).

Keywords (3–5 words/phrases).
-
Introduction (background, gap analysis/novelty, problem statement, and objectives).
-
Method (explain type of research—qualitative/quantitative/mixed, specify if library research or field research, including location, participants, and techniques).

Results and Discussion (present findings systematically, supported by relevant literature; may be divided into sub-sections).

Conclusion (summarize key findings, highlight contributions, and provide implications for community development).

Acknowledgments (if any, e.g., funding source, institution, or individuals who contributed).

References (must follow MLA Style, 7th/8th edition, only include works cited in the text).

3. References and Citation

Authors are required to use MLA style for references.

References should consist of 80% from primary and recent sources (journal articles, theses, dissertations, or authoritative books within the last 10 years).

It is highly recommended to use reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote.
4. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and accompanied by descriptive titles.

Figures must be clear, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, and embedded in the text.
5. Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure that all data presented are accurate and verifiable.
-
If human subjects are involved in the community service activities, authors should include a statement of informed consent and ethical clearance (if applicable).

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is only permitted for supporting tasks such as grammar checking or reference management and must be transparently disclosed.
6. Review Process

All manuscripts submitted will undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.

The editorial team reserves the right to make editorial changes to improve the clarity and quality of the manuscript without altering its substance.
7. Copyright Notice

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
