A qualitative approach with a case study design was used to gain an in-depth understanding of character education implementation. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis at Kaubula State Elementary School 1. The results showed that character education was effectively integrated into various learning activities and daily life at school. Religious character was instilled through joint prayers and celebrations of religious holidays, although the diversity of students' religions posed a challenge addressed with an inclusive approach. Discipline was enforced through strict yet fair classroom rules, with necessary support from parents. Honesty was enhanced through concrete examples and rewards for honest behavior, although negative influences from outside the school needed to be anticipated. Responsible character was developed through individual and group tasks, while independence was encouraged by providing students with opportunities to make their own decisions. Tolerance was fostered through cooperative activities and discussions that respected differences, although stereotypes and prejudices remained challenges. Overall, character education in fifth grade had a positive impact on students' development, helping them become more religious, disciplined, honest, responsible, independent, and tolerant individuals. The successful implementation of character education requires continuous support from all parties, including schools, teachers, parents, and the surrounding environment. A synergistic effort among various educational components is essential to ensure that character values are deeply ingrained in students, equipping them with a strong moral foundation to face future life challenges.
Fajrianti Sitti Hermayanti Kaif Copyright (c) 2024 JISPE Journal of Islamic Primary Education 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 5 01 11 20 10.51875/jispe.v5i01.287 PENERAPAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS IT TERHADAP ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS DI LABSCHOOL UNNES https://jurnal.idaqu.ac.id/index.php/jispe/article/view/296
The implementation of IT-based learning media for children with special needs at Labschool UNNES, particularly in English language education, is the focus of this research. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, employing interviews, observations, and document studies as data collection techniques. The objective is to describe how IT-based learning media, specifically the Wordwall application, is applied in the learning process of Grade 3B. Direct observations indicate that the use of Wordwall provides a positive stimulus for active student participation, including for children with disorders such as OCD and autism. Teachers utilize this media by displaying interactive games on a projector screen following an initial icebreaking session, aimed at preparing students to understand English grammar topics such as past tense. During this process, students are encouraged to participate in answering questions through games tailored to their needs. The findings show that this approach is effective in enhancing student engagement in learning, including for students with special needs, by providing additional assistance such as clues to facilitate comprehension of the material. The positive response from teachers towards the use of Wordwall indicates its adaptability to students' needs, including those requiring more specialized learning approaches. Labschool UNNES, as an inclusive school, demonstrates its commitment to integrating information technology early on, starting from Grade 1, with the goal of ensuring students master and effectively utilize technology. This aligns with modern educational policies recognizing the importance of technology in supporting inclusive and enjoyable learning processes. In conclusion, the implementation of IT-based media such as Wordwall in English language education at SD Labschool UNNES, especially for children with special needs, can be effectively conducted. Special needs students are able to comprehend and actively participate in learning through engaging and supportive media. Recommendations include the need to enhance the use of information technology in primary education to improve learning effectiveness and prepare students for future technological challenges.
Farinka Nurrahmah Azizah Masfufatun Nisak Mukhammad Khouf Wildan Noviana Widyastuti Copyright (c) 2024 JISPE Journal of Islamic Primary Education 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 5 01 21 29 10.51875/jispe.v5i01.296 UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PBL BERBANTUAN MEDIA SEMPOA PADA OPERASI HITUNG SISWA MI https://jurnal.idaqu.ac.id/index.php/jispe/article/view/297
The PBL model assisted by abacus media can improve students' mathematics learning achievement in arithmetic operations material because there are quite a few children whose learning achievement tends to be low in mathematics. This research aims to describe the increase in mathematics learning achievement using the PBL model. This research is Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles with two meetings in each cycle. The subjects in this research were 25 students consisting of 10 male students and 15 female students at MI Nurul Falah. The data collection technique consists of three stages, namely observation, testing, and documentation. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, with each cycle consisting of: 1) Planning, 2) Implementation, 3) Observation, 4) Reflection. The data analysis technique is to see the increase in learning outcomes from 2 learning cycles with a limit of 80% reaching a KKM score of 60. The research results found that after implementing the learning method with the help of the abacus media, the test results in cycles I and II showed that students' learning achievement scores increased. 22 students or 88% of the total number of students have completed and 3 others have not yet finished. If compared with the learning achievement in cycle I, 60% of students had completed their studies, then the student achievement score increased by 28% in the number of students who had completed their studies. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that classroom action research carried out by researchers can improve student learning achievement in the field of mathematics.
Desi Setiyadi Ika Rohayati Zubaidi Copyright (c) 2024 JISPE Journal of Islamic Primary Education 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 5 01 30 44 10.51875/jispe.v5i01.297 PENGARUH VIDEO EXPLAINER TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV SDN 1 REJOSARI PADA MATERI IPA https://jurnal.idaqu.ac.id/index.php/jispe/article/view/298
This research aims to determine the effect of explainer videos on the learning motivation of class IV students at SDN 1 Rejosari on science material.
